*Aurélien Débat (born 1979, France) lives and works in Marseille. After studying illustration at Les Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, he began writing and illustrating children’s books.
In his recent work, he explores the connection between design, architecture, and illustration through printed images, installations, objects, and toys. His Stampville project features ready-to-stamp pictograms and urban elements, forming a graphic alphabet that lets users build real or imaginary cities. His work shifts between realistic and abstract, playfully exploring how we represent urban space.
